Donations Program

The Donation Room is located at the main office in Langley at #101 - 6350 203rd Street, and is a safe drop-off site for both the Transition Houses and for the many clients that come to our services for counselling.  The program is volunteer operated and the Donation Room is open on certain days and times for drop off. As space is limited please call Debbie, Donations Coordinator at 604-534-1011 extn 231or email  debbie@ishtarsociety.org  to make an appointment for your drop-off or if you have any questions regarding the Donation Program. 

Subject to volunteer availability the times of operation are

Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays:    11:00 am - 2:00 pm

Please do not leave donations at the door.

We Accept the Following Donations:

• Items which are clean and in good condition
• Seasonal clothing for women, children and youth
• Clothing for boys aged 8 - 14 is in high demand
• Pajamas, slippers, housecoats and cozy clothing are always in high demand in our transition houses
• Hygiene products (i.e. soap, shampoo, feminine products, toothpaste, toothbrushes)
• Small household items including bedding, cook-safe pots and pans, cutlery etc
• Furniture and larger household items are accepted, subject to inspection, if they can be delivered to our storage unit on 56th Avenue

We Cannot Accept the Following Donations:

• New and gently used toys, books, and knick knacks are only accepted in limited numbers
• Items which are in need of repair, dirty or in overall poor condition
• For hygiene reasons we cannot accept secondhand stuffed toys
